Terms & Conditions

  • In order to perform the intended works effectively and safely, lifting of carpets and a form of chase and/ or hole may be required within the property. This will be discussed with you, the client, first if it is to be of concern. A one coat plaster will be used to fill any holes and chases of our doing to a reasonable finish and carpets refitted to the best of our ability. Final finish and/ or fit of carpets are to be done by a suitable sub-contractor.

  • Throughout the duration of works, we would like the use of: Electricity, Water & Toilet Facilities.

  • We use dust sheets as a matter of course throughout any chasing and/ or hole cutting. If you have any valuable items in any of the rooms to be worked in, we would suggest that these items are removed prior to works commencing. Any furniture that is too heavy and/ or fragile to be moved will be covered. The property will be cleaned to the best of our ability but you may encounter some dust settling after completion of works.

  • Any alterations and/ or extras to the agreed works will encounter extra cost unless otherwise discussed with the Electrician and a Variation Order is signed by both parties.

  • We are not responsible for any faults and/or problems, not of our doing, that arise from the existing installation once an upgraded Consumer Unit has been fitted. Due to the sensitive nature of the new equipment, existing faults can become an issue. An additional cost will be involved if these are to be rectified.

  • Advice given and/ or asked for is exactly that, advice. Persons acting on advice must satisfy themselves that it’scorrect and of some use. JS Electrical is not liable in any way with regards the outcome and/ or any kind of loss is incurred from the advice given. It is given purely on a personal level.

  • We are able to install aerial points and run any cabling required, at extra cost, to a predetermined location within the property if required. We do not carry out any roof works or final terminations of the aerials and/or equipment associated with it. This is to be done by a suitable sub-contracted aerial engineer.

  • We have made no allowance for the co-ordination of other trades and/or services.

  • Any delays in completion of final works due to circumstances and/ or trades that are not of our doing will be

    subject to an extra cost due to a revisit being required.

  • A Call-Out Fee of £95 Plus Vat will be issued upon every Call Out attended. This will cover the first 1hr of time and any minor misc materials required to carry out works. For additional time, a further £45ph Plus Vat will be charged. Any excess materials or specially ordered parts will be charged according with wholesaler pricing.

  • We do not supply any appliances, white goods or home equipment due to many variables and choice. Any items purchased by the customer without prior consultation may be subject to extra cost due to potential increased installation times and/ or reinstallation of works already completed.

  • All estimates are priced to include white faceplates, down-lights and switchgear. If a different colour/ finish is required then please make it known as soon as possible as there will be extra costs involved.

  • There may be occasions where photos may need to be taken either as reference or for our portfolio. Any names, faces, address or recognisable images will be blurred and/ or removed from the final photo. Trade-boards mayalso be used at site for ease of site deliveries. If, for whatever reason, you do not wish for any photo’s or boardsthen please make this known beforehand. No offence will be taken.

  • Any works over £750.00 will require a 20% deposit upon acceptance of the estimate so as to buy initial materials to start works. A receipt shall be issued for this.

  • Armoured cable is charged per drum and the remainder credited once the desired amount is installed.

  • All prices are valid for a period of up to 14 days from date of estimate. This is due to wholesaler frequent price

    changes. We will, however, try our best to honour our estimates.

  • All fixtures and fittings remain the property of JS Electrical until final payment received.

  • All Fixtures & Fitting carry Manufacturers Warranty. Labour is Guaranteed for up to 12 Months from date of Installation

JS Electrical collects information in two possible ways:

1. When you directly give it to us (“Directly Provided Data”)
When you contact is via our website, purchase our products or communicate with us, you may choose to voluntarily give us certain information – for example, by filling in text boxes or completing registration forms. All this information requires a direct action by you at that time in order for us to receive it.
